Google Video Categories and MC Hammer Blogs

Philipp Lessen of Google Blogoscped has a post on Google Video classifying video clips into categories. No word if this is done by human, during the upload process, or some biometrics laugh track algorithm, but it looks like a much easier way to search through clusters of content at Google Video.

The categories on top of Google Videos (like this one) seem to be new. The categories include animation, news, picks, comedy, movies, and commercials

Speaking of bad videos, Philipp also points to MC Hammer’s blog which is hosted on Google’s Blogger. No word if Emmanuel Lewis or Corey Feldman will drop by to blog or do a podcast rendition of Can’t Touch This, but Philipp sums it up best with this line; “The blog is Not Safe for Work unless you turn off your speakers first…”

  2. Could you explain it a bit more in detail? I’m interested in how google classifies video files.
    Thanks
