We have not faced the hike for any of our sites - perhaps we will when they are due for renewals.

I search on Yahoo everyday. I don't like when information is put out online as fact, with no actual basis. The old saying is believe nothing of what I read and half of what I see.

I haven't heard of specific rate increases yet, but I honestly would caution anyone against even using SSP. I suppose I'm a purist, but I'd rather pay the money on either Yahoo! Search Marketing or invest in time working on my SEO strategy.

Loren,

The rate increase happened last year in October, but as Joseph mentioned, they will only kick in when your annual contract comes up for renewal.

Further, not all verticals were affected, including ours... yeah!!!

FYI... I was told that this was the first increase in nearly three years, which means most clicks have remained EXTREMELY cheap when considering many alternatives (AdWords ahem...).

No I dis-agree.
From time time Yahoo does increase their prices, but advertiser are notified long before this happens.
Plus if your already in contract these new prices will not kick in until your contract expires.

I was notified, however, I only had a $0.03 increase. 100% increase? That's rough!
