MSN Search has dropped its dependency on sub-par LookSmart results and has incorporated Inktomi (owned by Yahoo) results into its search engine. It is expected that MSN will use Inktomi until it fully develops its own search function.
With Yahoo announcing the switchover to Inktomi from Google for Yahoo Search, this is putting more emphasis on SEO for the Inktomi engine, which currently allows paid inclusion among regular search results.
