Kevin Gibbons at SEOOptimise noticed that Alexa is not counting traffic from September 17th in its Daily Reach or traffic reports, and a simple Alexa search for the major search companies now shows that they all dropped to ZERO on Monday.
No Kevin, I do not believe the search engines experienced no traffic on the 17th, just another in the long line of Alexa hiccups.
i noticed some of my sites touched 1000 alexa rank on 17th… found it too funny for comfort.
I noticed this with our site where we were climbing all through September and suddenly our ranking dropped through the floor.
Crazy, just got Madmouse Web Directory flowing good and now no Alexa traffic. Really hasn’t affected sales, but hard to depend on their service.
