GMail Feature Enhancements

GMail supports cookie based logon!Google added a small feature to its GMail service that would help a lot of it’s full time users. Now users can stay logged on to the free 1 gigabyte web mail service for 2 weeks on the trot by selecting a checkbox while logging in. Makes sense coz it is obviously programmed to replace client based web mail service to general public! I now don’t have to login again and again to keep up to date on my GMail account!

Also, Google has reportedly added Apple’s Safari 1.2.1 to the lists of web browsers supported by Gmail. It already supports the following browsers:
Microsoft IE 5.5 and newer (Windows)
Netscape 7.1 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
Mozilla 1.4 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)
Mozilla Firefox 0.8 and newer (Windows, Macintosh, Linux)

Surprisingly, the official list at the moment of posting this article missed Safari but it should be fixed pretty soon…

Cool updates.
