Google has released this video which features Matt Cutts and his presentation on the State of the Index, which is a recap of his presentation from PubCon 2008 in Vegas.
The video discusses what Google did in 2008, and what they’re working on in 2009. Cutts discusses Google Chrome, voice recognition, SearchWiki, Trends and Blackhat Spamming & Hacking. Sit back, grab a coffee (or a beer) and enjoy!
Slides from the video presentation are available on the Google Webmaster Central Blog.

i love google chrome. clear and fast load. but, do not support google bar like firefox, and i also can’t install alexa bar….
i don’t like Chrome for that reason, the add ons I want just aren’t available. I can see many SEO people making the whole hearted switch. Chrome isn’t catching on to the masses very quickly. Is it faster? Yes. It is worth trying out? Yes. Does it make me want to switch from Firefox? Not in the least.
Google didn’t do anything in 2008.Adwords is very bad.The SEO people is very working for google.
Thanks for the video. I always love hearing what Matt Cutts has to say.
It makes me feel like I’m an insider, and helps me get out in front of the Google from an SEO perspective.
Any good articles on the linking value of social websites? Any chance Google will ignore those sites from rankings?
