Yahoo Search Marketing Shortens Descriptions

Starting today, Yahoo Search Marketing is limiting the amount of copy characters in their ad descriptions from 190 characters to 70 characters.

If ad descriptions still use more than the 70 characters, the ads will be shortened by Yahoo! via cutting off the ad at the 70 character mark.

Example : Buy previously owned in the Tampa Area at Stadium Toyota, located at….

So, if you’re running campaigns on Yahoo Search Marketing, be sure to login to your account and check and edit your description copy accordingly.
