Yahoo & InfoSpace Extend Search Marketing Agreement

December 11th, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | No Comments

Yahoo and InfoSpace have come to terms on an extension of their multi-year search marketing agreement, where Yahoo provides sponsored results and contextual advertising via Yahoo Search Marketing within InfoSpace properties.

Besides its business and local search offerings at InfoSpace.com, InfoSpace is also the parent company of DogPile, WebCrawler (blast from the past!), MetaCrawler and Zoo.com.

The company also offers private label search technology and monetization services for ISP’s via their DNS Error Assist Service, which is where a lot of the Yahoo Search ads are probably served:

InfoSpace’s service offers an effective way for ISPs to generate significant revenue by providing relevant search results for errors resulting from mistyped keywords and domain names through the browser address bar.

With highly relevant results that blend organic and sponsored results, InfoSpace helps generate more revenue through clicks from your users than any individual search engine.
