Search Engine Land has gone through a rather impressive redesign which gves it more of a news oriented feel (thinking ClickZ) and brings back memories of Danny’s days back at Search Engine Watch with premium membership and a sense of exclusivity for its paid members. Furthermore, SEL has also opened up its posts and articles to commenting, which it had not offered previously, and does a much better job of becoming a centralized hub for Third Door Media’s events, webcasts and video series.
The new design, format and social functionality is very cool and will result in enhanced stickiness on the site, keeping readers on-site longer in discussion, which takes the audience from the RSS reader and onto the website, where they belong :)
