Google Webmaster Video : Matt Cutts Reading SEJ on iPhone

The Google Webmaster Central Blog posted a YouTube Video of the day in the life of the Google Webmaster Support team. It’s a really cool account of the daily routine of the different members of the Google Webmaster Central team.

Just when I thought the video couldn’t get any cooler, Matt Cutts whips out his iPhone and shows the viewers how he was reading a Search Engine Journal post by Eric Lander on NoFollow and PageRank sculpting.

Very cool indeed! Check out all of the behind the scenes happenings at Google from this video and the blog post.

  • nice video very informative..thanks for this video.
  • How about they show us the behind the scenes for the actual Google Algorithm!
  • ROFL:

Can you imagine what those scenes from a couple years ago when Search Engines Web was making all those outspoken, controversial posts on his blog.

Can you imagine the next day's meetings as they went over those posts.

No one had ever been this outspoken before. And the execs had no choice but to read it.

((( The telling point in the video was that woman wondering every day if she was going to be fired or not as she was entering the garage

'okay good for another day' .....

(JEEZ -- is this what life has come down to for even the most talented of geeks)

'Matt just DELETE those Goddamn posts!'
'Yeah, I don't have to put up with that!!'

If only there was a video of those moments LOL:

But - like everyone else - they eventually came around.

Now they probably revere Search Engines Web
  • Nice to see some real faces behind the mass Google corporation.
  • Note to self: Must write more for SEJ.
  • I wish I had 3 meetings a day with no work. Please hire me.
  • Hey, a random sample of my time caught me reading SEJ. Good stuff. :)
