Espotting is a top European PayPerClick Search Advertising solution. It was rumored back in April that Yahoo may be purchasing the company to provide paid listings within Yahoo searches. A recent Yahoo/Overture deal has nullified that prior rumor.
NetImperative reports that a “deal with Mamma.com is pan-European and will see the search engine deploy Espotting results to its European user base. Mamma.com uses technology to geographically segment its users, and displays search results relevant to their country of origin. Espotting will provide the top six most relevant commercial listings to Mamma users.”
They also note “A separate deal with European-focused search engine Euroseek, will Espotting see search results and targeted content integrated across all channels and directories in Euroseek’s eight European countries and languages.”
