Does Google Want to File Your Taxes?

November 21st, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | 4 Comments

Gary Price noticed a rather intriguing Google domain transfer yesterday which occured in a batch which included mostly the domains reflecting the names of Google products and misspellings : GTaxes.com

This may be a clue that Google will be offering a tax preparation service, or some kind of spinoff from Google Finance where users can take advantage of Google Docs and social recommendations to prepare their own taxes much more efficiently than other tax preparation software.

Sound a bit out in leftfield? Well a year ago the notion of keeping your health records in a centralized database run by Google or Microsoft also did… and those are becoming reality.

More domains transferred to the Google name servers last week:

  • technicage.com
  • googlesecret.com
  • logiquate.com
  • macroslash.com
  • nolimitdvd.com
  • googlebux.net

And lots of Android oriented domains…. hmmm, Borg. Android.

Kind of funny Google is trying to corner the market on Android oriented terms and domains. And what is the Google Secret?

What do you think Google will do with these domains?
