Are you going to Search Engine Strategies Chicago or PubCon 2007 in Vegas?

  • Michael D on Nov 28, 2007 at 12:53 pm

I’m going to Vegas because I heard Bill Hartzer was speaking. :)

Also, it’s close to Los Angeles and there will be good times in the pub.

  • Rhea Drysdale on Nov 28, 2007 at 1:46 pm

I’m going to Pubcon because I went to SES Chicago last year and have never been to Pubcon before.

  • Everett from Denver on Nov 28, 2007 at 1:52 pm

Neither. Probably going to an SMX next time around. Might check out Shoemoney’s thing too if I get the time. Bug Pubcon Vegas sounds fun this year. Hope you have have a blast. Drink a few down for me. :-)

  • Jonathan Dingman on Nov 28, 2007 at 1:52 pm

    Sadly, no…the company doesn’t want to go so I can’t go :(

  • Nick Wilsdon on Nov 28, 2007 at 1:58 pm

PubCon for us - all the way from Russia.

  • David Wallace on Nov 28, 2007 at 2:07 pm

SES because I am speaking. Otherwise, would have opted for PubCon - closer to me and not as cold!

  • Dave Davis on Nov 28, 2007 at 3:02 pm

Pubcon from Ireland because there are more poeple going to Vegas that I want to meet and well Vegas is just plain buckets of fun anyway.

  • Bill Hartzer on Nov 28, 2007 at 3:13 pm

  • Justin Davy on Nov 28, 2007 at 3:47 pm

  • Urbanist on Nov 28, 2007 at 4:01 pm

Nope, though I look forward to seeing some liveblogging out of there :)

  • Arnie - Link Building Pro on Nov 28, 2007 at 5:24 pm

PubCon because it is about 1500 miles closer, warmer and have use of a free condo! I also like the tracks a little better. But, will be attending an SES early next year.

  • kid disco on Nov 28, 2007 at 7:21 pm

PubCon! Cuz all the cool peeps will be there… :P

  • Joseph Morin on Nov 28, 2007 at 10:00 pm

If you are headed out to PubCon, I have around 500 tickets to Las Vegas shows that I am giving out to Bloggers.

  • chris boggs on Nov 29, 2007 at 7:56 am

SES Chicago since it’s right around the lake from here. Also the truly cool people will be there, CK got the wrong memo…

I actually wish I could do both but Brett was hatin’ on “special day to speak requests” so I could not fulfill my master plan of SES M-W and Pubcon Th-Sat.

Of Course Pubcon, Had a real good time last year and had a chance to meet some of the cool people in our industry. Cant wait to hang out there. This time I am trying to talk to almost everyone who is there. It will be interesting to see How Online Social Media friends interact in Person. Lots of them Who I havent met in person

    Maybe next year.

  • Doug Heil on Dec 1, 2007 at 6:54 am

Neither of them. Only a small percentage of the industry goes and even wants to go. I can’t blame them either. Simply not worth it…. not by any stretch.

    This thread needed something different.

I am flying over 2500 miles of Pacific to attend PubCon.

  • Dr. Pete on Dec 1, 2007 at 10:24 am

Looking forward to my first PubCon. Even we Chicagoans don’t want to be in Chicago in December :)

Actually, I did SES Chicago last year and it was great. Two in a row just seemed like overkill.

  • Doug Heil on Dec 1, 2007 at 1:13 pm

Hi Chris, Well, I simply state what MANY more would never state publically even though they think it. You should respect someone who will stand up for what they believe and not do the kiss-kiss-face-face-ass-ass thang.

  • Jon Kelly on Dec 1, 2007 at 4:42 pm

pubcon for me, Loren. Monday to Friday.
