    I’d be wary of packaged SEO services. SEO is a long term process that needs to be carefully executed. It begins with keyword research and on site optimization and then continues to ongoing link building. It’s advisable to hire one agency to handle it all in order to keep the process moving and avoid confusion.

    I wouldn’t forget about user engagement optimization also. Paying close attention to what users are initially attracted to via search and how that plays out on the page they arrive on is a critical moment. I guess you can say it falls into web design, but sometimes it goes a bit beyond design.

    Some really good points here thanks Steve.
    I struggle the most with Copywriting. It is Copywriting that I find I spend the most time on. I see a logical step by step in your process above as it is the Copy that largely dictates the Website Design. I find I need to ask lots & lots of questions to fully understand what makes my clients tick and what makes them unique. I need to really get inside their head before I even attempt to start writing. And top quality Copy holds the visitors from a quick Bounce off the site. So indeed SEO is a multi-pronged strategy.
