YouTube gets its own Analytics tool

YouTube has just launched its new Insight analytics tools. Available for YouTube users, partners and advertisers, YouTube Insight displays statistical figures about videos uploaded into YouTube. Just think of it as the Google Analytics of Video.

YouTube Insight gives users two categories of video usage data – page views and popularity. Page views for videos can be displayed by 5 days, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months and one year. Page views can be further categorized by country.

Popularity is another way showing a video’s total page views that is by categorizing it by a number from 1 to 100 100 being the most watched video and 0 for being the least watched.

YouTube insight is a useful tool for those trying to optimize or probably earn from videos they upload in YouTube. From the basic usage statistics that it currently displays, YouTube users could easily analyze usage patterns and behavior for a specific time frame. We just hope that it gives other more detailed statistics in the future.
