Today Google announces Demo Slam. Demo Slam is a place were creative and tech-savvy people can create videos to help the rest of the world understand all the newest and greatest technology out there. Characteristically, tech demos are not very fun to watch. A lot of the time those people that are the best at understanding the intricacies of technology are far from the best at explaining it in terms that normal people can grasp and enjoy. Well Google wants to do away with all that nonsense and believes that Demo Slam will be just the ticket!
Users near only pick a topic for discussion, create, then upload their submission to the Demo Slam site. The rest of us get to watch and vote on the Champ of the week and learn a little something in the process. I, for one, know that I will be frequenting this site to see what handy pieces of technological knowledge I can pick up.

You can say it Google's marketing mix to drive interest of those missing reach of their creativity to the general public. It will create a competitive edge for sure.

It is a conspiracy to educate people without their knowledge. If it doesn’t stop people will become quite the experts when using their google apps. We can’t risk that, can we?
