Running Google Calendar on Web Sites

Google Calendar has taken a page from the Google Video school of content sharing with the option for site owners to share their maps on their sites or blogs via embedding the calendar for all to see. This is not only just a cool feature which publishers will use, but it will also spread the usage of Google Calendar via viral marketing.

Philipp Lessen of Google Blogoscoped is trying it out with a Search Events Calendar:

To share a calendar, open the calendar settings – via the triangle next to your calendar name – and click the HTML button . On the dialog that opens click “Configuration tool.” Now you can configure the display of your calendar, and then copy the Iframe code.

Now, if only Google or Yahoo will come out with a similar way to share Google or Yahoo Map results via embedding in blog posts!

This looks like a pretty good idea.

I’m going to be messing around with it to see how well it will work for me as a local events calendar.

    Oh! That’s cool ūüôā
Now if only I could add my adsense ads tothe calendar I could do a local What’s On & Where with G Calendar.

I already do this with another program but the G Cal beats it hands down….
