Today I invented a new word, Twoogling.
Google + Twitter = Twoogling
But what exactly is Twoogling?
The term came to mind when looking into Google opening their Twitter account at Twitter.com/google so I named the post Google Enters the Twitter Game : Google + Twitter = Twoogling?
Little did I expect that with some help from my Twitter friends, and especially @Mashable, the post took off like wildfire on Twitter. So much wildfire that is, that the word “Twoogling” trended on Twitter Search :
So, what is Twoogling?
Is it
- Google Twittering on Twitter
- Asking a question on Twitter and getting responses from your friends
- Searching Twitter
Please leave a comment below or Tweet me at @lorenbaker to answer the question : “What is Twoogling?”

I think it’s #3. I often combine asking followers with googling at the same time. So I’m tweeting+googling=twoogling.
Nice word. I like it.
I think Twoogling is when you search using
Twitter search as if it’s Google.
Loren, isn’t Twoogling the name of Linkin Park’s new cd? You know you want it!
Maybe a mix of twitter with wikipedia could be an improvement

Any good articles on the linking value of social websites? Any chance Google will ignore those sites from rankings?
