Google News Offers More Help for Publishers

July 18th, 2007 by Arnold Zafra | 2 Comments

If you are a news publisher whose having a hard time having your news items picked up by Google News, the Help Center for Publishers just announced by Google News Blog might help you. With the Google News Help Center:

Publishers can now more easily let us know about changes they make to their site, including name, location or domain updates. We’ve also clarified how publishers go about removing an article or image from Google News, like in those cases when something has been published by mistake and the article has since been recanted.

The Help Center has a dearth of useful information aimed at helping news publishers ensure that their news headlines get indexed by Google News and featured on the Google News portal for better reader visibility and virality. Its actually a sure way for Google to gather more news bits without paying for the publication rights. This goes out to theĀ  smaller less established “news-type-sites” wanting to get a piece of the news publishing niche.
