This could possibly be Bing’s biggest market share gain since it was launched more than a month ago. According to Efficient Frontier, Microsoft’s  paid click share in the the first week of August has increased by 44%  from what it was in June. The last increase that Microsoft was able to achieve in this arena was only 13%.

The report goes on by saying that Bing’s paid click share were due to the strong performance of its  Trade and Finance search verticals – gaining 11% and 22% click share respectively.  While it is understandable that travel-related searches during summer and finance-related searches by those monitoring the financial situation have increased search volume, what is interesting is the fact that these searches may have been conducted using Bing instead of the search engine they usually use.

Or may be yes, the sealed Yahoo/Microsoft deal may have something to do about the increase in user interest with Bing. Still, nothing concrete yet and it is too early to tell whether this trend would continue.

For people who are into “Paid Clicks”, this news is quite a new found greener side.

The Yahoo!/Microsoft deal may have something to do with it, but that doesn’t change the fact that Bing’s Paid Click’s is making its way into the open.

    NIce post.
