Corey Morris serves as the President of Voltage. With seventeen plus years of experience in the digital marketing industry, he currently leads overall strategy for clients and the agency overall. His analytical and competitive abilities make him a natural at leading local and national brands to success in the digital field. His ability to build sustainable ongoing strategies has resulted in numerous brands receiving staggering results and increased ROI. Corey serves as a key thought leader for technology teams, agencies, the media, and most importantly, for his clients.
Corey enjoys the fast paced worlds of technology and marketing and has previously been heard monthly on Tech Circuit on KMBZ in Kansas City, which was the first radio show dedicated to Kansas City’s emergence as a tech hub. He also speaks at conferences and with students (including SMX shows), at local marketing club events, and at client national meetings and conventions.
Corey’s speaking engagements and award winning work has gained attention in recent years. In 2015, he was selected by SEMPO (now part of DAA) as the leader for the newly launched SEMPO Cities initiative in Kansas City. Recently, SEMPO Cities KC held a successful inaugural KC Search Conference, bringing together the top search marketers in the Midwest. At the event, Corey served as lead organizer, a session moderator, and emcee. In 2016, Corey was elected to a three-year term on the international board of SEMPO and serves as the VP for the worldwide SEMPO Cities program.
In 2019, Corey was awarded with the Bob Stone Marketer of the Year honor by the KCDMA.
Additionally, Corey serves on the Professional Advisory Committee at Northwest Missouri State University. Although he did not attend school there, his strong relationship with the University provides students with access to digital marketing mentoring, internships, and career coaching.
Corey earned his MBA with a focus in marketing from Rockhurst University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO.
