Corey’s speaking engagements and award winning work has gained attention in recent years. In 2015, he was selected by SEMPO (now part of DAA) as the leader for the newly launched SEMPO Cities initiative in Kansas City. Recently, SEMPO Cities KC held a successful inaugural KC Search Conference, bringing together the top search marketers in the Midwest. At the event, Corey served as lead organizer, a session moderator, and emcee. In 2016, Corey was elected to a three-year term on the international board of SEMPO and serves as the VP for the worldwide SEMPO Cities program.
In 2019, Corey was awarded with the Bob Stone Marketer of the Year honor by the KCDMA.
Additionally, Corey serves on the Professional Advisory Committee at Northwest Missouri State University. Although he did not attend school there, his strong relationship with the University provides students with access to digital marketing mentoring, internships, and career coaching.
Corey earned his MBA with a focus in marketing from Rockhurst University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO.
