When venture capitalists compete, you win

I can’t tell if this video is a joke or not but I found it rather amusing, but regardless, I guarantee it’s going to create some buzz, it is too controversial not to. The concept behind this video is that this company is tired of companies competing with each other for VC money, so he’s inviting VC’s to compete with each other to see whose money they’ll take.
The vagueness of this video makes me think this thing isn’t serious, I mean what has the world come to when we see people start resorting to these kind of tactics to draw attention. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for innovative ways to market but I think this is over the top and it is going to create the wrong impression. Also, are we going to see more of this crap now? I sure hope not.
This video reminded me of the Agency.com video that drew a lot of buzz but gave Agency.com a bad reputation; everyone thinks they are lame now. The Agency.com video resulted in a few good spoofs and I can’t wait to see some of the spoofs that come out of this video
Don’t create buzz just for the sake of creating buzz. Do it because it’s going to draw attention in a way that doesn’t make you look bad. You need to appeal to your target audience and something about this tells me that VC’s will not find it very entertaining.
