That is the title of the new online game that Universal Pictures and Google are releasing to prep up the publicity blitz of the third installment of the Jason Bourne franchise movie, Bourne Ultimatum. In the said online game, players will be playing the role of a former CIA operative out to track down Bourne and finally resolve the mystery of Jason Bourne’s true identity. Players will unravel various clues to gradually unravel Bourne’s true identity.
The game which will start on Monday (July 16) is available at http://www.google.com/bourne
As a committment to the deal, Google will be promoting the movie through ad placement in results of searches relevant to the movies and through Google’s user customized iGadget portals. In return, a screenshot of Google search was featured in one of the scene in the movie.
Also part of the promotion for the Bourne movie is a a sweepstakes game sponsored by Mastercard and Volkswagen which was also featured in the movie with its Touareg 2 model.
This is the second time that Google ventured into movie advertising, the first being at blockbuster “The Da Vinci Code”.
