Yesterday I covered some of the buzz on the rumor that Yahoo may be selling off some of its properties, which includes Yahoo Answers, as part of the [possibly upcoming] AOL merger agreements.
A Yahoo spokesperson wrote me this morning to let me know that on the record, Yahoo has no plans to sell Yahoo Answers.
“I saw your article on Y! Answers last night and wanted to let you know — on the record — that we are not selling Yahoo! Answers.”
Apparently Yahoo also contacted TechCrunch, which helped to fuel the fire, to let them know that they are not selling Yahoo Answers, and TechCrunch has not updated itself with the direct statement from Yahoo. So, here you go, an SEJ exclusive : Yahoo Is NOT Selling Yahoo Answers.

Great news! I think Yahoo Answers is great where it’s at and it would certainly be a bad mood. Yahoo Answers is one of the best moves they’ve made.
i don’t like.. this ask service… but it bring money… it good that yahoo don’t sell it :)
