Twitter to Introduce Lists Feature Soon

If Twitter finalizes a new feature that is being tested right now, we might soon have a better way of organizing information that are generated by the Twitter tweets. Twitter’s List feature will allow Twitter users to create useful lists of Twitter accounts in various categories such as a list for funniest Twitter accounts of all time, athletes, celebrities and more.Twitter lists can be made public or private. But once you set it for public consumption other Twitter users can subscribe to your lists. Especially since Twitter Lists will be tied up to your Twitter account. In other words, Twitter Lists is a pretty promising feature that will boost Twitter status as a discovery engine.

Twitter Lists is currently being tested by some selected users and Twitter developers are currently working on the Twitter API that will make the Lists available for use by third-party developers with their Twitter apps.
