CBS Denies Booble.com Super Bowl Commercial

January 29th, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | 4 Comments

Remember Booble.com, the porn search engine which took advantage of the Google layout, logo and name association when it first launched?

Well according to Booble.com, they submitted a commercial to CBS for a Super Bowl ad buy and were denied.

So, if you’re dying for publicity, which was probably the only reason for trying to buy the commercial spot, what do you do when CBS turns you down, you send out a press release (Kudos to Yahoo News for the broken Booble.com link!) and try to milk it all you can!

GoDaddy is the originator of buying an ad and getting attention for rejected ads. These guys could have done a little better job by making the video/s public. If it was in a good taste it could have helped more for brand stregth. Nevertheless, it’s good exposure for pennies.

Agree with Sushubh: www.booble(space).com, you can see Yahoo! now: we’ll run the release, but will won’t give them any free links :-)

Booble is a free, fun, and useful site. We are quite proud of it. Best, Bob
