SMX East 2013 October 1-3 in NYC: Don’t Miss Out

SMX East 2013 takes place less than two weeks from now!
When: October 1-3
Where: New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 655 West 34th Street

SMX East is the networking event of the fall for search marketers interested in the latest SEO, SEM and social media marketing tactics that will drive results for their 2014 campaigns.

This event caters to search marketing veterans, executives of Fortune 500 companies and small business owners alike. With over 50 sessions taking place over three days, attendees can customize their own program to meet their needs.

What’s that? You want event highlights and a list of the A-listers you’ll see at SMX East? Here’s a short list (the complete list is almost TL;dr)

What To Do At SMX East

Keynote Speakers
The keynote speakers at SMX East are among the most respected thought leaders in search engine marketing.

Danny Sullivan, the man who needs no introduction, but we’ll throw one in anyway. Danny, SMX Conference co-chair, has been writing about search engine marketing and organizing SEM events for over a decade. As a speaker he has a reputation for presenting information in a way that is immediately implementable; so much so that attendees have been known to put his tips to work while he’s still talking.

Chris Sherman , SMX Conference co-chair and executive editor of Search Engine Land, has analyzed and influenced developments in search marketing for more than a decade. He is the creative mind behind SMX events around the world and has authored several books on search engine marketing.

Richard Alfonsi is the VP of Global Online Sales for Twitter. Richard will discuss Twitter’s latest ad opportunities, advanced targeting capabilities, and tapping into Twitter’s trending topics.

Eric Enge is the CEO of Stone Temple Consulting.  In addition to being known for the content he writes on his own Stone Temple blog, Eric is also a columnist at Search Engine Land and Search Engine Watch.

Duane Forrester is the Senior Project Manager with Bing’s Webmaster Program. In addition to working at Bing, Duane is also the author of two books: How To Make Money With Your Blog & Turn Clicks Into Customers.

Information Sessions
There will be 50 information sessions over the course of three days which span four main tracks. The tracks include Boot Camp, SEO, Mobile, and Paid Search. For a full look at the schedule, including dates and times of information sessions, please check out the SMX agenda.

Networking Events
Meeting with fellow SMX East attendees, speakers and exhibitors is one of the most valuable aspects of attending the conference. Kick off the expo on the morning of October 1st with a networking breakfast. Later in the day from noon to 1pm there’s a networking session the various authors in attendance. In the evening from 4:45pm – 6:00pm there is the Expo Hall Reception, which event organizers say is “the most fun you can have in an Expo hall.”

On the evening of October 1st from 7pm – 11pm SMX presents the After Dark charity party. This year’s After Dark charity is the Boomer Esiason Foundation Fighting Cystic Fibrosis.

Every day of the Expo will feature meet & eat networking lunches where attendees are invited to sit and have lunch with fellow knowledgeable and engaging people. All lunches are included for SMX East All Access pass holders.
