New StumbleUpon Facebook App

June 28th, 2007 by Loren Baker, Editor | 2 Comments

StumbleUpon has released a very cool StumbleUpon Facebook app which brings Facebook & StumbleUpon profiles together. By installing the application into your Facebook profile, sites which have received a Thumbs Up by you and others on StumbleUpon will be featured on Facebook profiles.

This also makes identifying different StumbleUpon users much easier, as you may have friends who use SU, and not even know it.

Visit their Facebook account and BAM!, there’s another opportunity to connect with a Stumble friend and entice them to Stumble your sites share interesting sites with them. And as many of your know, the more thumbs up, the more traffic to the Stumbled site.

My guess is that users are more aware and active within Facebook than StumbleUpon, so hitting these friends up for Stumbles may be easier on Facebook than say, IM or StumbleUpon itself.

Even if you do not ask others to Stumble your sites and articles, the application looks quite handy and helps to share user online interests with Facebook friends.
