Report Google AdSense Spam & Click Fraud

In the past, we wrote an entry named GoogleGuy Wants AdSense Spam Sites Out. Some of the AdSense spam, scraper sites, click fraud and so on were out of hand. Jenstar at WebmasterWorld posted a thread named Reporting click fraud to Google AdSense, which is a shorter version of what she blogged on under the title Reporting publisher click fraud to Google just got easier.

It is true, it got very easy to report spam. All you need to do is click on the text at the bottom right of the Google AdSense ad that reads “Ads by Google” or “Ads by Goooooogle”. Then it pops open a new window, at the bottom of that window it reads “Give Google feedback on Ads by Google”. By including the phrase “invalid clicks” in the comments field (to report click fraud), it will be routed to the correct team.

Above is an image of a typical Google AdSense Ad, where I highlighted the link you click on to report such activity.

This website uses google as an advertisor. I was scammed by wealth911.com. They have charged me 3 times in 2 weeks and I never even recieved the google software I was suppesed to. They charged 39.90 3 times promised a refund. Cancelled the refund then charged me again. After they promised the only authorized charge would be $1. Yet they still charge you and make you wait a week to see if they will even return your money.

It’s plan for me to see that your not taking care of your customers just like the FBI (etc….) isn’t taking care of the people they work for. Does a bell ring or go off. It should. Fraud emails, it use to be funny (that’s fraud emails). I mean to see how stupid people are in being lazy and how hard they are willing to work to get out of work. Meaning they turn to fraud emails to make money. How I will never understand how anyone could get taken, the signs are always there in every email from business being conducted by using a made up email address to no verifiable information in the email.

Your thinking what is my problem. My problem is you for one thing. I love your service. I have had an email account for many a year. I want say I haven’t had problems, but I will say your service department has always treated me with kindness and got to the problem and fixed it. So I thought it was time that I gave this problem straight to you and quit getting mad about it.

I you check my spam emails you will find two or three out of ten emails that are fraud emails has a yahoo email address. I can never find any verifiable information on the person sending me emails using a yahoo email address. But knowing all the information you asked me when I opened my email account you would be able to give the FBI the information needed to arrest them for fraud, money laundering, etc…

For some reason the FBI hasn’t thought of this. Nor have you. You say your doing all you can do. Wrong!

You are giving these people the tool to defraud people and in my book make you an accessory to the crime a long with Google, AOL, etc….. I use to get fraud mail one or two a week now I get ten- twenty- thirty a day through email.

Why don’t you and the others form an alliance with the FBI and lock these people up. The same person tries to defraud me by using three or five email names and pretends to be different people.

Come on, Stupid is as stupid does!

It has to start with you, 90% of these fraud emails are to raise money for those terrorist to fight our arms forces, you know your child, mother, father, sister, brother, etc…

You need to do something! Wake up!

FBI you need to (as bad as it would hurt me and many others) closed down the internet and emails if you can’t control the criminals using it. Just think! That’s all I ask! It’s fairly simple, for every email account they have to prove who they are and you would have the information needed to lock criminals up. Just Wake up!!!

Google should not be running ads for people like these. I have reported this to the Better Business Bureau. I am unemployed and they take advantage of people.

I applied on line from a Google site for a chance to make money by putting ads on my website. It would cost $1.97 for the CD. Did not receive CD, I called them when a charge for $79.90 showed up on my debit card. They said there was no CD but a password sent thru an e-mail, did not receive that. I wrote a note to the bank, they said I would have to try & get a refund back from the business. I called them 8/3/2009 5 times trying to get my refund back. They said they couldn’t do that, they would refund to me “out of courtesy” $39.95. I asked to speak to a manager, & they said they were all busy. I said I would wait to talk to them, & the person said she could not let me hold onto the line, either I could leave a voicemail or she would finish the call. Again they said I could talk to know one. After two calls & two of their hang ups, I said I would leave a voicemail. When they sent me to the voicemail, the voicemail box was full,& said I could press “0″ to talk to an operator, I did that & the call ended. I tried that one more time & again the voicemail box was full. I called back again & we went through the whole thing again. Supposedly there was fine print that said I had a 7-Day trial & after the 7 days I would be charged $79.90. She said that was on 7/23/09 & they charged me on 7/31/09. I did not see the terms, she said didn’t you receive a receipt, I said, “NO”. She then said did you receive the password to get into the site, I said, “No”. I had not received the CD/information, no password, no receipt, Nothing. She said she was sorry but she could not refund the $79.90.
I asked if they could give me my password, they said they weren’t allowed to do that, I asked them to e-mail me the terms, they said wait one minute & they hung up. I would also like to add that I could hear others customer service people in the background going through the same questions & answers. When they would put me on hold, they would accidentlly come back on with me and there would be a group laughing in the background on the phone. I found that were others were going through the same thing. 1)Appartently they agreed to the reduce refund & I would be sent out within 3 days & it then went on 3 wks & they had not received it. They in fact called back and they would say it would be another 3 days. 2)Billed credit card without authorization – Respected sir/madam,
    I clicked an ad for google start up kit and had to only pay $1.95 for S&H charges. They were to send a kit. I received no kit and later received a $79.80 charge on my bank account. This company never received authorization to bill me for this amount nor did I ever receive the start up kit.;
3)Harrassment phone calls / keep calling and ha
Respected sir/madam, This company keeps callin my cell. When i pick up, they hang up! its gettin on my nerves. all they say is customer support when you call the 1-800-497-4988. I will report this to the police if it continues! so far i see from everybody else that’s its a SCAM! thats so uncool ! Im reporting to the BBB as well! something needs to be done about this mess! 4)
ADDRESS TO CANCEL – INCORRECT – Respected sir/madam, I too paid $1.95 & at time saw that my cc would be charged $69.90 in 7 days UNLESS I cancelled in writing…so I immediately sent, by certified mail of course, a letter that I was cancelling so no charges should apply. 9 days later, I see the “pending” charge to my bank account for $69.90 so I contacted the only phone number I had for this “make believe” company, spoke to LORRAINE who proceeded to robotically tell me that the reason for the charge is because I didn’t cancel…then I told her about my cert mail & she asked where I mailed it to, I repeated the address directly from the website that says to cancel, send written notice to & she said that she had no idea where I came up with that address & I KNEW THIS WAS A SCAM. They need to be taken off “Google” and they need be shut down. I want my $79.90 back. A. Horan

I would like my $79.90 credited back to my account, for them to be taken off of “Google” or any other search engine they are on, and shut down and charges drawn against them.

I would like my $79.90 credited back to my account, for them to be taken off of “Google” or any other search engine they are on, and shut down and charges drawn against them. I wish I could speak for all the others in this situation but at least some awareness will help. I am also write a letter to “Google” to complain.

I do not have this money to just throw away. I am unemployed and can’t afford for something like this to happen. How can people sleep at night when they cover up for these things. I hate society any more it is nothing but problems.

    Thank you.

I too followed a link from the CNN news page ticker, which led me to the site http://www.weekly-reports.com/finance/?id=cv claiming that Google had set up a way to help people at home make money. I followed the link provided in the article and was asked to supply .99 for a “free downloadable cd” to help get me started from Google. I received an email a couple of minutes later saying that I had been signed up for free trials from “Click money” for 59.98 monthly after 7 days, Fast Government Grants for 14.99 monthly after 21 days, and Network Agenda which claimed to be 9.95 monthly after a 14 day trial. I was immediately suspicious that Google would suddenly spam me with all of this. But when I went back to the invoice page I got a lovely little popup which read “failure to process your account properly will be reported against your credit score as fraudulent activities as a bad buyer… blah and it gave me a link to some other website that supposedly registers bad buyers.” I became more suspicious when the “downloadable” edition of the CD ran but all of the sections “information” and so on read, “Denied” in the text box. By this point, I had already frozen my credit card, but I still decided to email Click Money customer service and got an immediate email return as a non-existent recipient. I went a step further and tried phoning the 866-386-5694 and 1-888-651-9818 numbers provided on Fast Grants and Click money to complain the 866 for Fast Grants led me to a construction company’s customer service where a man named Terry said he had been getting many calls from people who have been trying to cancel scammed counts. The 888 number for Click money took me to a customer service site that never picked up, just said that I hold on the line with my account number. I’m with the other person who posted. How can Google let their name get attached so such an involved scam? And these people need to be prosecuted for fraud!

Google is crap the only thing they are interested in is taking your money per click. And if you do not pay they drop your PR. Every time my PR goes up they drop it down. Maybe it should have been called ripmeoff Google. I have not received not one customer from Google clicks the only one making money is Google…. Found a website that had a PR of 2 Then they started paying for clicks and the website jumped to a 4 PR. How funny that after paying for clicks your PR goes Up… Scam Google is a SCAM
