Amit Agarwal has found an interesting URL variable which when added to the Google Search URL string blocks AdWords ads from showing.
If you append the parameter “output=googleabout” to Google Web Search URL, the search results page will not carry any AdSense ads that are otherwise seen on the top and right sections of the page.
So, start your Google searches from google.com/search?output=googleabout and you get to search Google without ads and do so without having to install extensions or Greasemonkey scripts on your computer.
Why would anyone want to block AdWords? Personally I love being served sponsored results because I’m a search marketer, but not everyone loves advertising like we do :)

Honestly I feel bad about blocking any eligible site ads, since by doing this, we are taking the income stream from the site that is providing the service.
It’s only small text ad on the side in return of using the service for FREE. More people keep doing this and we will start seeing Pay per Search sites coming up.

I can safely say that in the past…5 years maybe? That I have clicked on no more then a half dozen ads. They are ads–not the conent I want or need from a search. I buy products and services that I want and donate to those that give it away. Use Firefox and install Ad Block Plus. That exention is the sole reason I stay with Firefox–that one little program.

I had a problem with this.
Google seo (126 million links)
Google seo output=googleabout (36 links)
It removed much more than the ad-words links.
