Google has updated their privacy policy to address the collection of personal information when users interact with various Google services according to Amit Agarwal, one ofthe best bloggers on the planet. Google now retains this information along with user server logs.
When you access Google services, our servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, the date and time of your request and one or more cookies that may uniquely identify your browser. Also, in order to protect you from fraud, phishing, and other misconduct, we may collect information about your interaction with our services. Any such information we collect will only be used to detect and prevent fraud or other misconduct.

Misconduct in who’s judgement? Misconduct according to Google’s terms of service?
To me this sounds like….
“Everyone already knows we can figure out all of the websites you visit and own and if we feel you’re up to anything sneaky like selling links there will be consequences. We figured we would just slip this into our TOS here because we plan on pushing the limits of what webmasters are willing to put up with yet one more time.”
Why Sobrato Organization is doing that ? I don’t think yahoo is facing that severe financial crisis.
