Clusty.com Search Engine Adds Labs, Features and Redesign
Vivisimo Search Technology has redesigned its two year old ‘clustering search engine’, Clusty.com, and has added new features, including a font size selector, a “more” tab, and the ability to search within results.
Clusty.com now also features a special “Labs” page that hosts new search applications developed by Vivisimo’s engineers.

At the Clusty Labs page, consumers can try out Clusty Cloud, a customizable visualization tool that lets users see an immediate overview of any topic on the web, and do specialized searches of a Benjamin Franklin portal or of Shakespeare’s plays and sonnets. The Labs page will serve as a testing ground for improvements in the overall search experience for end users. New technologies developed and tested in the labs will shape future versions of Velocity, the company’s enterprise search platform.
In just two years, Clusty.com has helped consumers overcome the information overload usually associated with web searches by introducing the concept of clustering, which groups and displays search results in an intuitive way, making it easy for users to find the information required. The Company also used Clusty.com to test and prove various search features and functions, such as search preview, keymatching and spotlighting of high-value content on the search results page––all in use today by enterprises and government agencies that have deployed the Vivisimo Velocity Search Platform.
