Leading local search engine Local.com and Yahoo renewed a multi-year agreement that will continue Yahoo’s service to Local.com of providing sponsored search results to Local.com’s portal. Local.com, a top U.S. website with 10 million page visits per month provides relevant search results about local businesses, products, services and syndicated contents.
Yahoo has been providing Local.com with relevant sponsored ads which gives search results in Local.com’s portal more relevance and usefulness to its users.
“Yahoo’s considerable base of high quality local advertisers complements Local.com’s highly relevant search results. The result is even more relevant content that helps visitors to Local.com and our network of local publishers find the businesses and services they are looking for”, said Heath Clarke, Local.com’s CEO said in a press release.
Yahoo suits well with the growing advertising marketplace of Local.com, hence the company decided to renew the advertising agreement with Yahoo, hoping to extend the local search company’s advertising reach through increased local and vertical ad targeting opportunities.
