Google Starts Selling Promoted Videos on AdWords

With the Promoted Videos program driving millions of views and increasing paid search clicks to almost  500% after the program was launched Google is now letting video content owners to buy Promoted Video slots. This means that anyone who wants to promote their video content no matter how professional or not those videos are can easily get their video promoted via Google AdWords. This new feature comes hot on the heels of  new AdWords functionality that were recently rolled out by Google AdWords, the most recent of which was the Call-to-Action overlays.

Letting video content owners get into the AdWords programs easily is Google’s new effort of  trying to milk  YouTube with as much cash as it could. As for video content owners, this new feature gives their videos additional avenue to get across their intended audience.

The launch of this feature also makes Promoted Videos available to other countries including Canada, Italy, France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.  Roll out in other countries will follow in the coming weeks.
