This post mentioned selling links. If I have a site with Google PR 6, what should I charge? Actually one of my sites is PR 6 and four of my sites are PR 5.

In reply to "James Trotta" comment: Selling links is not a good idea. I believe Google will not look fondly on your site once it sees so many irrelevant links there (you just want to put links on your site to make money). Please don't do that! However, if you don't really care I would charge around $5-10US a link ... depending how much your visitors value your site and where the link is placed.

http://www.1-language.com/ has lots of sponsored links on its homepage (PR=7) and as far as I can tell isn't punished by Google. That site charges 80 or 50 US/month although some of it may be for traffic in addition to page rank. Since 10 US/month (you did mean monthly, right?) isn't really much of anything, I guess I won't be selling links. I did put this thing together: http://www.eslgo.com/sponsor/ but I might just delete it.

Before you go killing a sound revenue model, be aware - there is a big difference between having sponsored text link advertisements on a site and selling links as a form of boosting page rank.

Keep text links ads on the site, do not sell them as Page Rank boost links. Keep the advertising marked as an ad, and not on a links only page.

Google is not the sheriff of selling web advertising, but they can be tough if you're selling links with prices based on Page Rank.
