SearchBastard is a new (still experimental) addon that allows for a huge number of cool features for search addicts:
- Search multiple search engines with one click;
- Quickly access any search engine;
- Quickly look up words on a page;
- Easily search right from the address bar.
Arrange Your Search Engines in Groups:
- For easier access;
- For the bulk search: perform search on a number of engines at a time.
Note: assign alias for each group for one-click search.
Use Multisearch: Frames or Tabs:
The tool allows to search multiple search engines within one group and open results in multiple frames or tabs.
Example: to search all the "fav" engines in one go, click on "fav" in the searchbox. Here’s how it will look for frames-view:
Try Enhanced Smart Keywords
The tool enhances the functionality of FireFox built-in "smart keywords" option. You can now search multiple platforms from there too: type [alias keyword] in the address bar to search for the "keyword" in all search engines contained within the specified group (e.g. type "fav SEO" to search for "seo" in all search engines you have in your "fav" group).
Try LookItUp (aka Selection) search:
You can select any page on page, type an alias and instantly see the search results in the sidebar.
Search for More Search Engines: right-click on the icon in the toolbar and browse through available search engines:
