Search Engine Journal has been a 5 year project by myself and groups of loyal writers, contributors and search enthusiasts. I started this blog out of a labor of love 5 years ago, after taking a 2 year hiatus from SEO and search marketing (I started in the industry in 1999, buying search targeted banner ads on DogPile, Go2net, Altavista and Yahoo before AdWords or paid search existed).
Since, a personal project to build my writing skills and glue together discussions and news from various search forums, Sitepoint, Webmaster World, High Rankings and email discussion lists has morphed into a full time job, a strong brand and a building block of a search consulting, optimization and media buying firm.
Looking back, it’s difficult to believe that what started as a Blogger hosted blog in the summer of 2003 has become what it is today. And I’d like to thank our readers, subscribers and loyal friends in the search marketing and blogging industry for giving me the drive and motivation to keep this project going.

I randomely found out on google about this nice software you can use to get people find you and be attracted to your headlines in search engines. I think it was called glyphius…
You pretty much type a headline and it gives you a score. You keep editing it and changing few words until the score gets higher and higher and i guess next thing you know, you have a catchy headline ;) I think I’ll try it to advertise my coming up business.
