Foursquare is a Web and mobile application that allows users to check-in or post their locations, connect with their friends, and become virtual mayors of a certain venue. Basically, it’s a social network that allows you to inform your friends and family where you are.
Created in 2009, Foursquare has now 20 million registered users who aim to earn more badges by completing tasks and checking in from specific locations such as, say, the next-door slaughterhouse. We may not exactly know the infinite pleasure users get when they become a mayor of a pizzeria or their dentist’s office, but we do know that Foursquare is here to stay with the number of its addicted users.

As the reigning Mayor of several Nashville locations I resent this posts, LOL. This is great Melissa, I’ll have to keep that last graphic in mind when checking in ‘during work hours.’ Ha!
