UniversalBusinessListing.org Announces New Verification Process to Ensure Search Results’ Credibility

UniversalBusinessListing.org is a site that provides home-based and micro businesses with the service of having their business profiles distributed to major search outlets, social networks, directory assistance, navigation services, and online yellow pages. Name Dynamics, the parent company of UBL, knows the difficulties that business owners can face when it comes to making their online presence known, including competing with fraudulent listings. To help combat these fake profiles appearing in online searches, UBL has announced the launch of a new verification process that will help “increase visibility and credibility” and “improve confidence in valid business profiles” among home-based and micro business.

Name Dynamics’ CEO Doyal Bryant says, “many legitimate businesses are not being found in traditional online directories, because the very definition of what is a legal business has not caught up with technologies, like mobile phones and the Internet, that help a small service or home-based business operate.” With the new verification process will also come checks for closed businesses, government filings, and, in some cases, proof of identity directly from the business itself. All these steps are being taken to insure the utmost level of security and accuracy when it comes to business listings, for not only the peace of mind of the business owners themselves, but for potential customers.

A “Verified Business” symbol will accompany each business profile that has undergone the process to make consumers aware of the steps taken by UniversalBusinessListings.
