Only a couple days after the great Google GMail Outage of 2009 (and hopefully the last), Google has confirmed that AdSense, their contextual ad network, also suffered from an outage on Wednesday.
According to the Wall Street Journal, a Google spokesperson confirmed that AdSense was indeed down for about 90 minutes, but did not affect all of its web publsihers. 90 minutes may not sound like a large amount of time, but its roughly 6.25% of the day. If publishers did lose tracking of ad clicks during that window of time, then their revenue could have dropped during this period.
