Google Maps may be considered to be one of the most useful smartphone apps, but it has some peculiar omissions from its desktop counterpart.
For instance, until now, the mobile app has only allowed people to get directions from one place to another. On the other hand, Google Maps on desktop has long offered the ability for travelers to plot multiple destinations in one trip.
Why the multiple destinations feature has been absent from mobile for so long, but good news for Android users is that it has finally arrived. Android users are getting it first, but Google says it will be coming to iOS soon.
If you’re an Android user and not sure whether you have the feature or not, you can check by tapping on the 3-dot menu when planning a trip. Look for the option that reads “Add stop”, then you will have the ability to open up a new directions field and add another location.
To start using the new feature, update your Google Maps app for Android today.
