Google Gives Adwords Advertisers Mobile Ads Options

Google Gives Adwords Advertisers Mobile Ads Options

Google’s advertising program has not really been pretty active when it comes to the mobile platform. Until now as the Google Mobile blog is announcing that Adwords advertisers can now target mobile platforms such as the iPhone, T-Mobile G1 and other mobile handsets with full HTML browsing capabilities. With this new Adwords feature, advertisers will now have a campaign-level option to have their desktop text and image ads serve on the iPhone even without them creating a specific mobile ads landing page or even perhaps ads in mobile formats.

This new Adwords feature which came in just in time for the holidays where shoppers will most likely to do a lot of their product searches on their mobile phones will allow advertisers to have the same benefits as the other standard mobile ads including the delivery of mobile-specific calls-to-action.

In addition, just like with the regular Adwords campaigns, aside from allowing advertisers  to display ads exclusively on the iPhone, T-Mobile and other specific handsets, they can also get ad performance reporting for this mobile ads. And for advertisers who would prefer not to show their desktop ads on these mobile phones, they can still opt out and show ads only on desktop and laptop computers.

But for those who want to implement this new Adwords feature on their campaigns, check out the Google Mobile blog for specific instruction on how to do it.
