Yahoo has taken another step in adding to the strength of its OneSearch & mobile advertising offerings in the acquisition of Actionality. Barry at Search Engine Land points to a Mobile Entertainment story on the Yahoo purchase of Actionality, a mobile download content advertising & monetization company.
Actionality has been a pioneer in the rising field of ad-funded mobile content. It works closely with brands and operators and specialises in ‘injecting’ games with ads at the point of download. The company secured seed financing from Doughty Hanson Technology Ventures in 2006.
