Google PageRank (the visible toolbar PageRank that is) was updated around the web on the 23rd and 24th of June, changing the visible PageRank scores which appear on the toolbars of Google users all over the globe. Lots of publishers tend to use PageRank as a metric for judging the quality of their site, which I do not agree with, but toolbar PageRank is still relevant to many website owners and bloggers, so any update is still a big deal.
The last Google PageRank update I remember was during IM Spring Break in early April, and according to those tracking the Google Toolbar update frequencies, this update comes a bit early.

What is interesting about this PageRank update is that it comes less than a month from the last PageRank update. The May 2009 PageRank update took place on May 27th/28th. This one started last night on June 23rd.
As far as I can tell, the homepage PageRank for many of our S&S properties has not changed much, but we have seen a definite increase across the board in Google driven referrals which started last week. Could that increase in search referrals and this latest update be intertwined?

Hey….well yea my site did go up in PR but my positions have gone down whats up? they went from like 8 to 16 or 15 to 45 things like that any ideas? Thanks so much… :)
We saw several PR upgrades and the traffic increase began about a week before. We have not seen a noticeable kw rank change.
Well, I would consistently get 100 visits to my site for the term costa rica and now I am getting none, but with Goog, these things come and go..
My website has been PR1 for the last 1 and a half year. No increase in traffic. No increase in backlinks. It seems I am all f***d up. I really do not understand why is Google not considering any action on my site. Webmaster tools show more than 100 links and more than 3000 indexed pages while in actuality by those colon entries I get close to nothing!!
Yep, ours jumped from 6 to PR7, very happy, but we did put in quite a bit of time on the SEO
I saw some movement in the SERPs a couple of weeks ago actually but not change in PR yet.
Hadn’t checked in awhile, but happy to report I’ve gone from 3 to 5. Recently broke off my own site from that of our main company site so glad that it’s passed PR and then some — and it’s moving up in SERPs. Could be because it’s more consistent in theme and blogging I’m doing on separate domain that links into relevant pages on the site. Main company site has stayed at 4. Haven’t seen much change with my client’s sites.
Oddly, went from 5 to 4, even though we have been getting tons of referral traffic and good search referrals. No change in SEO strategy, so I guess if you’re standing still, you’ve moving backwards.

One of my new site got PR4 and a old domain got PR1. Both have good back links and I thought both will get good PR like 3/4.
My blog PR was 2 before update & now my blog PR is 3.

Was a 3 last time around droped back to a 2 after a week or so butnow were a solid 3 again, look forward to the next go round would love to hit the 5 mark, though I must say are trafic has never been higher, it’s still nice to look at.
on some keywords I am still among first on google but, pagerank falls drastically (4-2), it might be because of that that I didn’t write any article for sometime, but anyhow, not so happy for a lot of changes that google made, because I’ve also lost a lot of backlinks (more than 1500 in a month).
our site went from PR4 to PR3 but moved up in position on the home page for our main search term, solar panels
One of my sites increased PR in May which was great but I think a month between updates is a bit short. Does anyone else agree?

PR hasn’t changed on any of my big sites, but I’ve seen a serious drop on phrases where competitors are using hidden links back that Google is supposed to supress from an authority persepective.
I think the main changes are yet to come.

Ya one of my friend got a higher page rank at once.(from 0 to 5). Cant believe actually. Can the page ranking algorithm be wrong because he hasn’t got much back links too.

Our site is somewhat new so we have not noticed any increase as of yet.
We went from a PR 5 to a PR 4 last year and have remained there ever since. No obvious reason as to why this happened, but I suspect the whole playing field got leveled and a lot of sites might have dropped a bit.
Page Rank seems to be a somewhat flaky yard stick at the best of times to measure the quality of a site. Personally, I don’t give it much consideration these days.

Hi ! I think the major google update are yet to come. My site lost internal page pr. but someone also got a pr 0 to 1. do anyone have idea about next google update.
Main site dropped from a PR4 to 3. All internal pages dropped. Other site went from 0 to 2 and then down to 1 within weeks. We’ve put quality time into link building, content, articles, etc. Our Alexa rank went from 600’s down to 400’s and serp went up. Crazy. One week it’s like an ant hill, then the next week like the Sahara. Go figure.
We’re still a two, but I notice only a portion of site pages were re-indexed in google. But we’re getting a lot more visitors.

My site has been live since 2008 and i have page rank of 1 but i got that in april, nothing since so will have to wait until the next update whenever that is, probably the end of the year now!!
Still not sure what I need to do other then get more banklinks. I am still waiting for my PR to register.
The URL for getting pagerank that is posted on wikipedia is not working anymore. Not sure what that means but something changed. It was working for about a year now and was very generic.

This has been one of the longest gaps between updates in recent years so think the update must be imminent
I too have a small handful of new sites that I am waiting on the PR update for. I know some people say PR is meaningless but the fact that so many people give it so much weight means I am going to remain concerned about it.
