Mamma.com Adds Related Search Powered by SLI Systems
Mamma.com today is set to announce that it will now be using SLI Systems’ Related Search to offer relevant search suggestions to its users. Mamma chose SLI Systems’ Related Search for its customizable search functionality and specifically for its ability to increase the success rate of user searches. According to SLI Systems, since implementing Related Search, Mamma.com has seen a substantial increase in searches. In October Mamma.com’s Related Search generated an additional 10% increase over the previous months’ search activities.
A 10% jump in search activity due to adding related search is a nice increase, but just how does this technology work? From SLI Systems : Related Search intelligently suggests alternative search phrases, allowing the user to perform additional searches with a single click. Suggestions are generated by SLI Systems’ patented technology which constructs relationships between searches by learning from search behavior.
