Blinkx Launches Multimedia Search in China : CBlinkx.tv
Blinkx, which is probably the most innovative multimedia and video search online, is taking its search engine into China with Cblinkx.tv. The Chinese version of Blinkx.tv was launched on Tuesday in the land where Google, Yahoo, and eBay have been competing to get a piece of the Internet usage pie. China is second only to the United States in Internet usage and given its population and economic growth, is expected by some to overtake the US as the top Internet using country in the world.
ChinaKnowledge.com reports : Cblinkx.tv allows users to search for TV and radio news clips and video content on weblogs or blogs, and watch them online. The launch of Cblinkx.tv in China is a new development in the search engine market. Already, both search engine leaders Google Inc. and Yahoo! Inc. have started beta testing and developing technologies for searching video on the Internet.
