Yahoo’s Search Results Page Has Been Improved!

Is Yahoo your primary search engine? You’ll find that each search engine appeals to a particular demographic. After doing some research Yahoo appeals to the following:

  • single person households (interesting fact: they use more electricity than Googlers)
  • blue collar backbone
  • poor people (according to Gizmodo and Techcrunch)

Yahoo just improved their search results page today. It looks like this:

  1. I’d say it’s about time. If they don’t try to stand out and appeal to a particular demographic, they will always trail in Google’s huge shadow. It’s probably an impossibility to even compete with Google at this point, but a change like this should help them claim a bigger piece of the pie.
