The Search Engine Journal has been reporting on search engine industry news for the past two years. With well over 2,000 posts on search engine related news stories, the Search Engine Journal has become one of the most popular search related news sites in the world. Over the next year we plan to go beyond blogging with some new ideas and experimental news coverage. However, in the meantime, we thought we would take the time to introduce our readers to our staff and contributing columnists, as they have all helped to build the Search Engine Journal to the respected search engine news site it is today.
Loren Baker, Editor and Chief Columnist – (forgive me for writing in the 3rd person) Mr. Baker first created Search Engine Journal as a Blogger blog back in 2003 as a place to store his thoughts and research on SEM and SEO. Then, Mr. Baker started reporting news items as the industry began to tke off again after the 2001 ‘bubble burst’.
After receiving positive feedback from the search community, which was centered mostly around forums at the time, Loren moved the blog over to SearchEngineJournal.com, got serious about our news coverage and syndication and the rest is history. Mr. Baker’s background is in communications and marketing, and he has been involved in the SEO and SEM world since 1998.
Besides running the Search Engine Journal, Loren has also launched BlogSearchEngine.com and various other blog and industry related sites. Currently Mr. Baker resides in Japan where he is working on a new search engine related project.
Sushubh Mittal, Tech Columnist and Resident Opera User – Sushubh has been my right hand man since the very beginning when we met while I was launching BloggerTalk with Peter Davis of SitePoint. Sushubh first transferred our archives from Blogger to WordPress and since has become a constant contributor, supporter, and resident trouble shooter at SEJ. Plus, he’s a die-hard Opera browser user and has been so since the early days of Opera. So, whenever I need a quote or opinion on the Opera browser, I simply IM Sushubh.
Mr. Mittal, the Editor of TechWhack is a self described tech freak who loves to test out software and criticize the flaws in them. He is a die-hard Michael Schumacher fan and has been eatured on the CBS MarketWatch website and Google’s GMail Press Page.

Greg’s insight is a cherished addition to the Search Engine Journal coverage as he lends his expertise in Local Search and has a history of Search and Internet media behind him.
Greg came to The Kelsey Group from ZDTV (now techtv), where he conceived and produced the Web site accompanying the first national television show dedicated to e-business and the Internet, “Working the Web.” Before ZDTV, Greg was a founding editor and executive producer at AllBusiness.com and was an editor and project manager at Oracle Corp.’s education division.

I’ve been in contact with Aaron over the years and his knowledge and feedback on SEM projects has been well absorbed.
