If you run Local Services Ads, you set a weekly budget, set your own bid, and pull lead reports from the Local Services Ads dashboard.
Google is changing all three.
Local Services Ads are moving into Performance Max, the Google Ads campaign type that bids automatically on your behalf. The first U.S. advertisers moved in August 2026; the rest follow on dates Google assigns through 2027.
Good news: Your ads are staying put: the same listings, the same Google Guaranteed badge, the same pay per lead. What changes is everything around them.
What Changes In Your Account When Local Services Ads Move Into Google Ads
Google is changing how your ad spend gets counted, how your bids get set, where your historical reports live, and where you manage the campaign day to day.
Those four do not all change the same way.
Some carry over on their own and only need checking afterward. Others go away completely. And at least one part of your account history does not transfer, so the only window to save it is before your account moves.

How To Audit A Local Services Ads Account Before Its Migration Date
Google assigns your migration date, so the audit only helps if it is finished before yours arrives.
What to check, in what order, and how to read where your account sits in the queue is what Meagan McLoughlin covers on September 8.
RSVP free to get the checklist before your account moves.
What You’ll Learn
- Pre-migration exports: which reports and settings to save while the old dashboard still has them.
- Cost-per-lead checks: where your cost per lead could move once Google sets the bid instead of you.
- The Agency Playbook: how to keep client accounts profitable when their migration dates land months apart.
Who’s Presenting: Meagan McLoughlin Of CallRail
Meagan McLoughlin is Director of Product Marketing at CallRail. She has spent this migration on the measurement side, tracking what transfers, what resets, and what changes in the numbers advertisers report. She built the audit checklist her team uses, and she is walking through it live, including the agency version.
The accounts that come through this cleanly are the ones audited before the move, not after.
