So does this mean Yahoo is behind blinkx? I’ve heard that elsewhere but no one’s said for definite that I’m aware of. Anyone know?

Actually I heard Rupert Murdoch was showing an interest in blinkx but I don’t know. It certainly has improved recently. They have just released version 2.0. This incudes Smart folders and Peer-to peer search. I believe they are the first to do it.

they are the first to do it. Apple and Microsoft have been talking about it for some time, but Blinkx was the first to deliver. Also, the implicit query idea makes it cake to find new sources with similar info- great research tool.

blinkx 2.0 is really useful. i love how it includes P2P networking and the smart folders feature is incrediable. I have tried some other desktop searchers (google and copernick) and blinkx is way ahead of the competition.

ohh i totally agree! Blinkx 2 is really exciting. I like the SIS (stuff i have seen) tab. I had the google toolbar but this is very different than what google offers. Blinkx really goes back to what you have seen, where google just takes you to things that are related. Blinkx has a lot of cool features.
